Diane Lane and Josh Brolin to divorce

Actress Diane Lane and actor husband Josh Brolin are to divorce after eight years together.

A spokesman for the couple told US magazine Us Weekly: “Diane Lane and Josh Brolin have decided to end their marriage. It was a mutual decision. It is very amicable. It’s not ugly, it’s just over.”

Diane Lane, now 48, made her film debut in 1979 at the age of 13, alongside Laurence Olivier and  has had an active career ever since. Josh Brolin, 45, has been acting since the mid-1980s and is perhaps best known for his role in No Country for Old Men.

The pair married in August 2004. Diane Lanewas previously married to French actor Christopher Lambert and they had one daughter together, separating in 1994. Brolin had two children with his first wife, Alice Adair.
