Get my new book, ‘Divorce & Splitting Up’, FREE!

divorce bookMy new book is called Divorce & Splitting Up: Advice From a Top Divorce Lawyer. It is now available in the Amazon Kindle store – and from today until the end of the week, it’s FREE!

Divorce & Splitting Up provides practical advice and support to those who are divorcing or splitting up from their partners. It covers all steps of the divorce process, from making a decision about the marriage and choosing the best solicitor, to appearing in court and moving on when it is all over. The book includes checklists, case studies and FAQs, alongside straightforward explanations of family law for non-lawyers.

I am making this book free for as long as Amazon will let me, because I want to make it available to as many people as possible. The difficult economic climate and the demolition of legal aid mean that many more of you have chosen, rightly or wrongly, to do without professional family law advice. I’d like to do what I can to ensure that whatever route you take, you feel informed and confident about what lies ahead.

Divorce & Splitting Up  has been published digitally and, although it is available in Amazon’s Kindle store, this doesn’t restrict it to owners of Kindle devices. You can also read it if you have a PC, Mac, iPhone or iPad, by first installing one of Amazon’s free Kindle reader apps.

This book has taken a long time to write… and I am already thinking about what to include in the next edition. So if you purchase a free copy of Divorce & Splitting Up: Advice From a Top Divorce Lawyer, I would like to ask for your help in return, in shaping that next edition.

I would be very grateful if you left a comment or (even better!) an Amazon review with your feedback. Would you recommend this book to others? Which sections are particularly useful? What would you like to see, or see more of, in the next edition?

Thank you in advance – and I hope you find this book useful.

    Hi

I am currently the respondent, Nisi in place and first appointment imminent.

This book and your site have been a useful reference point for me in representing myself, a couple of suggestions for feedback:

    1. It would be useful to have a more diagrammatic process showing the divorce process and financial settlement process, with the relevant documents referred to and an example of how best to complete them.

    2. The book very much feels oriented toward the wife as the petitioner.

    thanks
    Paul
