News: Two vacancies open in Family Division of the High Court
The Judicial Appointments Commission has been asked to make two appointments to the Family Division of the High Court, to fill vacancies opening there from spring next year.
It will also be selecting nine candidates for the Queens Bench Division. Candidates will need to “demonstrate potential leadership qualities”, says the Commission. “Queen’s Bench Division judges will be called upon to act as Presiding Judges, and those within the Family Division may become Family Division Liaison Judges.”
The commission has also called for potential future applicants to take part in mock interviews, which “will help the JAC fine-tune the content of the selection process.”
Job descriptions and eligibility criteria are available on the Judicial Appointment Committee website.
