I wrote this piece especially for people who are going through heartbreak now; to try and encourage them as positively as I can using examples in art and literature to give shape to my thoughts better than I can.
Life hits us all very hard sometime or other. There is no escape from it. So the first thing to accept is that life is lived in the present. The dark feelings and memories which can cloud ability to live life in the present, and to the full, should be consiged to the bin where they belong. Along with feelings for someone who is not the person you think they are - that person may have changed long ago or never even existed at all.
Then think positive. There are many joys to be had from life when you face up to what is happening in the present, and they often unexpectedly occur when we are least looking for them.
Part of the reason I write, is to encourage people going through tough times, to come out of the darkness and slowly but surely, (it takes time) to begin to see light. Then live life to the full;- now.
I wish you very well and thank you for your comment.

Picasso has been a champion of mine since my early teens - his blue period is a joy.
Strange then to read this emotional text when I am considering one of the darkest moments of my life.
I have been married 34yrs but things seemed to have changed and I dont see how they can go back or if I want them to. Strange when you consider the emotions above and indeed in ourselves. Maybe time changes us?
Sad.
