Unfortunately I heard recently of a mother who was never that fond of her son's bride. It is now obvious she was right. This mother lost her son when he was killed in a car accident at age 28 and he had no will. His wife and he had split up (unfortunately not legally, she ended the relationship though and broke his heart) a few months earlier and he was living at home with his parents and had eventually moved on with a new girlfriend in his life. Rumour has it his wife had been seeing someone else for some time. She is now showing this man off as her 'new' boyfriend. Because he had no will is wife is taking everything, including a car that he had stored at his mum's and she is planning to take a widows pension from his workplace. Can she do this? Her husband had approached a solictor before he died for advice. Is that enough to question her actions or does the law completely favour her over his mother? Interesting words.
